EXCLUSIVE: Alex Jones Says He’s “Sick” of Donald Trump in Leaked Video

WASHINGTON – A new report and released today by the IJʿ’s (IJʿ) Hatewatch exposes multimillionaire conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who has built an extensive business appealing to former President Donald Trump’s base, disparaging the 45th president in an expletive laden tirade.

“It’s the truth and I’m just going to say it. That I wish I never would have f**king met Trump,” Jones said on camera in January 2019, while shooting a documentary in Austin, Texas. … I’m so sick of f**king Donald Trump, man. God, I’m f**king sick of him.”

The video was leaked to Hatewatch by Caolan Robertson, a filmmaker Jones hired to shoot a propaganda film called “You Can’t Watch This.” Robertson, who far-right figures hired to shoot a number of propaganda films, also shared messages that illustrate his claims that Jones is motivated by a desire to exploit Trump’s fans.

“Alex Jones built a multi-million-dollar business selling supplements, lies and hate. It’s not necessarily about ideology for him, it’s more about money,” said IJʿ Senior Investigative Reporter Michael Edison Hayden, who authored the report. “Jones, like other extreme far-right grifters, showed how far he was willing to take his hate business on January 6, when he helped inspire Trump’s fans to commit an act of political violence.”

Throughout the 2016 presidential campaign and Trump administration, Jones’ talk show Infowars promoted and idealized Trump daily. Following the 2020 presidential election, he helped spread the lies about the election being stolen including playing a prominent role in the events of January 6th. Jones reportedly donated funds in exchange for access to a headlining speaking slot and then hyped up the crowds of Trump supporters before some of them stormed the Capitol building, for which he is currently being investigated by the DOJ and FBI.
