°Ä²Ê¿ª½± statement on President Trump’s news conference
At a time when the country is reeling from the events in Charlottesville, President Trump is feeling sorry for himself again.
He’s being treated so unfairly, he says.  He’s done enough already, he thinks.Â
Never mind that it took him two days to denounce white supremacy. Never mind that he still has not taken responsibility for the fact that his racist, xenophobic campaign has energized the radical right. Never mind that he’s a hero to the likes of David Duke. He’s the least racist person we know. Just ask him!
If the situation weren’t so serious, we could overlook his act, his ducking and weaving, his petulant behavior. But at this point, it’s simply bizarre and disheartening...
