The organizer of the deadly 'Unite the Right' rally will not get a permit for an anniversary replay
Jason Kessler, a racist white rights advocate, dropped a request for a judge to force Charlottesville, Virginia, to grant permission to hold a rally on August 11.
Kessler’s attorney, James Kolenich, said his client will not hold any large event in town that weekend.
Kessler’s decision came 30 minutes into a strange hearing in federal court. First Kessler was late, as was Kolenich.
Then Judge Norman Moon asked Kolenich if he and Kessler were serious about the issue because Kessler hadn’t shown up in court.
When Kessler did arrive he quickly dropped the request to force the city to issue a permit for a second Unite the Right protest.
