Dropping Academic Veneer, Cal State Prof Starts His Own Hate Group
It鈥檚 official. Cal State Long Beach psychology professor Kevin MacDonald has made the leap from academia to racist activism, signing on with the (ATP), a white supremacist political party established in October 鈥渢o represent the unique political interests of White Americans.鈥� As excellently by the O.C. Weekly鈥檚 Gustavo Arellano, MacDonald is partnering with local racist skinheads 鈥渢o create a new political party鈥� that hopes to 鈥渙ppose and deport non-whites.鈥� MacDonald is listed as the group鈥檚 director.
Until October, when ATP was established, MacDonald was better known for his purportedly proving that Jews are driven by a genetically programmed group evolutionary strategy to undermine and harm Western civilization. (The idea is that they do so in order to weaken 鈥渉ost societies鈥� that might otherwise oppress or act out against the Jews.) In his academic works, MacDonald has suggested taxing Jews or restricting their access to university as ways of protecting white society.
MacDonald has become a darling of the white nationalist circuit over the past few years, presenting his anti-Semitic ideas to suit-and-tie extremists in hotel ballrooms and similar venues. MacDonald鈥檚 theories 鈥� which are dressed up in psychological jargon and feature lots of endnotes 鈥� are enthusiastically endorsed by such listeners, who feel that MacDonald justifies their hate with 鈥渟cience.鈥� Former Klan boss David Duke, for instance, is a huge fan, having much of his own anti-Semitic 鈥渞esearch鈥� from the professor. In 2004, MacDonald was awarded $10,000 for his theories by The Occidental Quarterly (TOQ), a white supremacist journal on whose editorial board he serves.
But in the past few months, MacDonald has begun dropping his hotel ballrooms in favor of interviews with the proprietors of crudely hateful websites. Late last year, MacDonald gave a series of interviews to 鈥淏rother Nathanael Kapner鈥� (a self-described former Jew turned 鈥渙rthodox Christian鈥�) of Real Zionist News, which battles 鈥淭he Zionist War for Domination.鈥� MacDonald belittled blacks, claiming Jews had simply 鈥減resented鈥� them as leaders during the civil rights movement. MacDonald informed Kapner that Jews have no 鈥渞eal sympathy for the plight of blacks,鈥� simply manipulating them 鈥渋n their quest to achieve the eclipse of the political and cultural hegemony of white Americans.鈥� Sounding a lot like a newly minted neo-Nazi activist, MacDonald called on whites to 鈥渟tand up to American Jewry, fight for their own interests, and confront Jewish hypocrisy.鈥�
Last year, MacDonald started up his very own online magazine, The Occidental Observer, to 鈥減resent original content touching on the themes of white identity, white interests, and the culture of the West.鈥� There, MacDonald celebrates the crudely pro-Klan film "The Birth of A Nation," defends the anti-Semitism of automaker Henry Ford, and rails on about white victims of black criminality.
MacDonald has installed a hard-line racist as chairman of the ATP, William D. Johnson. A Los Angeles-based lawyer, Johnson is no newbie to hate. While running for a judicial post in 2008, the Metropolitan News-Enterprise that Johnson is a white supremacist who has advocated deporting non-whites from the U.S.
The newspaper also found that Johnson had penned an infamous book in 1985, using the pseudonym James O. Pace, called Amendment to the Constitution. The book proposed a federal constitutional amendment to repeal the 14th and 15th Amendments 鈥� the 14th made freed slaves U.S. citizens and guaranteed equal protection under the law, and the 15th prohibited denial of the right to vote based on race 鈥� and substitute a blatantly racist alternative that Johnson dubbed the The new constitutional amendment would read: 鈥淣o person shall be a citizen of the United States unless he is a non-Hispanic white of the European race, in whom there is no ascertainable trace of Negro blood, nor more than one-eighth Mongolian, Asian, Asia Minor, Middle Eastern, Semitic, Near Eastern, American Indian, Malay or other non-European or non-white blood, provided that Hispanic whites, defined as anyone with an Hispanic ancestor, may be citizens if, in addition to meeting the aforesaid ascertainable trace and percentage tests, they are in appearance indistinguishable from Americans whose ancestral home is in the British Isles or Northwestern Europe. Only citizens shall have the right and privilege to reside permanently in the United States.鈥�
