Cherry Z. Gamble
Cherry Z. Gamble is the IJʿ’s chief development officer. She oversees all revenue strategy and fundraising operations, including foundation development, planned giving, major gifts and direct marketing.
Gamble has more than 20 years of fundraising and marketing experience with a variety of organizations. Previously, she served as the director of marketing, communications and outreach for the Georgia Tech Research Institute. Earlier, she was the senior director of marketing, strategy and planning for the fundraising arm of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a leading children’s cancer research organization. At Allstate Insurance Co., Gamble was the regional marketing manager for the Southeast. Previously, at Colgate-Palmolive Co., she held a variety of roles and managed a multicultural marketing effort.
Gamble has received several honors during her career. Rolling Out magazine named her one of the “25 Most Influential Women in Atlanta” in 2009. She has served as a board member for the Salvation Army Advisory Council for Cobb County, Georgia. Gamble also served as a board member of the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia.
She holds a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing from the University of Memphis and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
